Patients from the Winnipeg area require two appointments. The first is the office consultation followed by a separate appointment for surgery.
Office Consultation
At the office consultation, a medical history is taken and a brief examination is done to ensure that the operation can be performed. Office consultations are usually done during our Wednesday morning clinic. It is a brief appointment if patients follow these steps;
- Watch our video on this website BEFORE your appointment.
- Bring your Provincial Health card to the consultation.
- Bring a credit card if you plan to schedule your surgery while you are in the office for your consultation. The credit card is only used to reserve your appointment time. There will be no charges to your card unless we do not receive sufficient notice of cancellation.
(see Cancellation Policy) Without a credit card we will be unable to reserve a time for your surgery.

Surgery
Most patients book their surgery while in the office for their consultation. Otherwise an appointment for surgery can be arranged by calling 338-3700. Press option 3, 2, 0 to speak with our receptionist. Surgery is done each morning from 9 until 12.
Patients from outside of Winnipeg can usually arrange to have their consultation and surgery done on the same day. We offer this service if patients live at least 1 hour outside of Winnipeg, are least 30 years of age, or have at least 2 children of their own.
